For those of you still using large format 4×5 and needing to “mask” out your ground glass to shoot to a specific proportion is easy with these. Just a little “funtak” holds these in place on the glass and then you know that you are shooting to the proportion the AD has asked for. Makes for time saving and you know that the critical area is in the correct aspect ratio.
8.5×11, 6×6, 6×12, 6×7, 6×8, 6×17, 11×17.
What we would do is use the mask to apply a grease pencil rule on the ground glass and from there we could proportion using our eyes if we needed just a little more outside of the lines.
